The British Museum

Did you know that the British Museum can accommodate conferences and corporate entertaining events? If you can arrange your next business meeting in one of the conference rooms, you can spend the rest of the day checking out the informative and fascinating exhibitions in the museum. Charting the evolution of mankind from prehistoric times to the modern day, you could easily while away an hour or two here, and claim to be “working”.

Madame Tussauds

Be sure to take lots of photos at this wax museum and watch the stunning statues of celebrities like President Obama, Queen Elizabeth, David Cameron and the Beckhams. The wax figures are so lifelike that you could probably get away with it.

The Science Museum

The Science Museum is the perfect place to get the cogs turning again, since it will challenge everything you think you know! The exhibitions cover scientific discoveries over the past 300 years, and you are sure to learn some lessons.

Covent Garden

When you have finished work for the day, take a trip to Covent Garden. Street performers will entertain you for a while, and then you can visit the shops and get some souvenirs to take home to your loved ones. Then grab a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants in the area, and a cocktail in one of the bars. Be careful not to overindulge, since those early morning business meetings are really difficult with a hangover.

Changing the Guard

This is an activity that you can easily fit in between meetings, since it is literally a handover of the guards that stand outside Buckingham Palace and St James’ Palace. Check the timetable to ensure you are there in plenty of time, as it is quite a ceremony that attracts a lot of visitors. This may be the only time you will ever see one of these guards move a muscle, so don’t miss out and take lots of photos!

When you finally make it back to your accommodation courtesy of ASAP awardee The Squa.re Serviced Apartments, you will sleep peacefully, knowing you have made the most of your short time in the capital city of England.

Let’s hope you get some work done too!
