Religious attractions – Ashtalakshmi Temple

Chennai has several hindu temples and churches. Ashtalakshmi Temple here was built in 1976. It is dedicated to eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi. It is made in Dravidian and contemporary architectural styles. There are some other shrines in this temple as well. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is located in Mylapore. This was built in reverence of the great saint. Agni Pooja is a popular religious ceremony of this temple and it is attended by a large number of devotees. People of any religion can visit the temple. Velankanni Church is another religious site to visit in this city.
